Hi there Jackie. If you're using a single draw slide to pull 20 questions from that bank, learners should be seeing a distinct set of 20 questions. It sounds like they're getting repeats within the same quiz attempt, however.
We have an issue where questions are not randomized again during a quiz retry in HTML5 output. I'd like to make sure this is a separate issue. Can you share your .story file for me to test? Also, let me know how you're hosting your content (web, LMS, etc) and if there's a common browser folks are using.

Instead of testing the output locally, I would recommend testing it in a LMS environment to ensure everything is working correctly.
If you don't have a LMS available, SCORM Cloud is an excellent LMS testing tool.

It looks like you are replying to the forums via e-mail and that may be why you are having difficulty sharing your files.
Please click 'View' when you get this e-mail vs. 'Reply' so that you can pop in and edit your previous responses if needed. It looks like we have some potentially private information and your signature as well.
I do not see your .story project file in the files you shared. We'd like to see the project file you worked on within Storyline before publishing.
If you can share it here, feel free to use the 'Add Attachment' option directly in the forums in the bottom left of the reply window, but you can also share here privately if needed.

Hi there, Jackie! I just want to make sure you know that your replies are public, since there are Serafin credentials in them. I'm going to have a look at your file and let you know what I think.
Hey, Jackie. I had a look at your file. I published and uploaded your course to the web, and I ran through the question draw. I saw a question twice in the same quiz attempt. 🧐
I had a closer look at your question bank, and I noticed that slides 1.8 and 1.11 in the question bank were duplicates and the same one I saw "repeated" in the draw. Did you see more than one question duplicate when testing your course? I didn't notice any other repeats, but I would just double check your question bank for duplicates.
I’ve also checked again and the questions that get repeated are different…. Can’t narrow it down to particular questions that are getting repeated. Different for everyone.
Thanks for pointing that out - the question and answers were so close, I wouldn't have spotted it right away either.
I took a look at your course and published it here for Web - you mentioned testing locally but not using an LMS so I wasn't sure what publish method you were using.
Can you take a look at that in IE11 and let me know how it's behaving for you? Keep in mind, you'll need to have Flash enabled as Storyline 2's output doesn't support HTML5 in IE11.
The course was published to CD
(i.e. nothing else would allow the course to run locally)…. No options to set (html5 etc)
Hoping this information helps you solve the puzzle
Thanks, Jackie - that was a missing piece that you were publishing for CD to view locally (lots of folks use a web publish locally although I don't always recommend it!).
When you launch the published output are you using the Launch_story.exe or trying to launch the story.html file? I'd use the former to launch correctly - and I did a quick test of this and saw the second attempt at the quiz showed me new questions/in a different order.
To answer your question: - we are launching using .exe due to Adobe wide ‘flash’ restriction
Having said that there now seems to be a workaround that involves makes the launch site a trusted site in IE.
Have done this and am about to test…..
In your message below are you saying that it’s the way that the course is launched that affects the ‘serving of questions from the pool’
i.e.
exe – problem
html - OK
Totally confused now.... I was guided toward using story.HTML to launch the course yesterday, not .EXE.
Is it possible to have: -
1 - one person answer the query?
2 - a private/non public email address as there is a lot of to-ing and fro-ing.
Happy to post the solution publically at the end of this publically.

Hi Jackie!
When you publish to CD and view the output, you'll want to double-click the Launch_story.exe file to ensure everything is working correctly.
Keep us posted on the results of your testing, and we'll go from there!
