My LMS administrator is saying that the survey questions I have included in my Storyline module are reporting an undefined value - as in the table here.
I am publishing to a Moodle 1.9 LMS using SCORM 1.2 and have the Passed/Incomplete flag set. Does anyone know if one of the other flags would work better, or is there anything else I should be doing?
Would you mind testing your course in SCORM Cloud to help us determine if the issue is Articulate related or if it's on your LMS's side? If the issue appears in SCORM Cloud as well, we'd be happy to take a closer look at what might be going on. If you can't replicate the issue in SCORM Cloud, it's probably an issue that you'd want to take to your LMS team. This article may also help clear up common LMS issues.
This is very exciting. I have uploaded the course to the SCORM cloud and can see the reports of the interactions from my assessment questions, but not from the survey questions which is exactly the issue I was having. I'm hoping there is something I should have done in the course, that can easily be fixed. Do I need to click on your 'take a closer look' to activate any help?
I believe the survey answers should be included along with the other data that Storyline will send to your LMS, so it's likely that your LMS is choosing not to translate that into a report. Have you had a chance to discuss it with them?
Currently they just say that it's reporting as an undefined value and that it is something wrong with the SCORM. I have someone from the SCORM Cloud looking at the course to see what is happening too. In the SCORM cloud reporting I only see the 20 interactions from my graded quiz questions and nothing from the survey questions.
Another post I've seen suggests that responses from survey questions are suspend_data and not interactions. Is this true and should my LMS administrator be looking elsewhere for the survey question responses?
Are you including your Survey questions on your Results Slide? Take a look at this tutorial. Your survey questions will need to be tracked on the results slide and then they should show up in your LMS...
Thank you Peter. I have solved it. I had a Results slide for the survey questions and thought this was enough. I also had a Results slide for the assessment questions - which is the one I was tracking and reporting on. What I should have done was to ensure the Results slide being reported on also included the survey questions. I re-published to the cloud and can now see all graded quiz questions and all survey questions as 'interactions'. Thank you.

Awesome, Beth! Glad to hear it
