Resetting quiz attempts in Storyline 2

Nov 18, 2014

Hi there,

I've used a sequence of quiz slides to create a test in Storyline. I don't want users to receive feedback at the individual slide level, just at the results slide. On the fail layer of the results slide, I have a retry test button that links them back to Question #1. However, I've been receiving many emails from users who are unable to select an answer once they get back to Question #1. In Story View, each slide is set to "Reset to Initial State". I just clicked Form View and I can see that several of the questions are set at "1 Attempt". Unfortunately, this is greyed out and I cannot change it to Unlimited... Please help!!

Hi Kristen,

On your "retry" button is there a trigger to "reset the results" when the user clicks? You'll want that trigger to appear before the jump to slide trigger.

In regards to attempting the quiz questions again, the attempt count is for when the user is on the slide and would retry it immediately, not tracking it across multiple attempts of the entire course.

If you're still having difficulty could you share a copy of your .story file here with us?
