Resource Security

Hello,
When attaching Word documents to a course as resources, what is the default level of security for those resources? Meaning, are users able to download those documents or is there some way to make documents read-only? If documents are not especially secure, what is the best way to keep users from being able to download/save intellectual property to their own computers?
Thank You

Hi there.
This question really doesn't apply to Articulate. This question should be sent to whoever hosts your LMS.
If everything is properly configured in the LMS, people can't change the docs that are on the LMS. Of course, they can download them and do whatever they want locally on their machines. That is the idea behind having resources: they are downloadable or links to external content.
If you need to protect a document and prevent it from being downloaded, don't try to use resources. Instead, you'd have to come up with some other option. This is a losing battle in my opinion.
Hi Sam,
As John mentioned it may be something you want to reach out to your LMS about. Storyline doesn't have a set up to lock down particular files or the ability for a user to download them.
Hopefully others in the community are able to weigh in and offer some additional thoughts for you here.
