while duplicating the base layer, the cue points & triggers did not follow :-/

Any tips to duplicate and keeping all from base layer ?

For what it's worth here is another option to create a looping slideshow. I use an object with a looping motion path animation to continuously cycle through a batch of ten pics. Here is a brief blog post about it.

Thank you for the new option, but it is a little bit too complicate for my little expertise :-/

I have a new problem regarding the same objective...because this time,  my slideshow of pictures is included in a layer (not in the baselayer)...I have tried to do the same as explained (which was working very well), but It does not work :-/

Any advice ?

You would just need to update the triggers to reflect the new layers. Have the base layer immediately jump to the layer you want to start the sequence. The update the triggers to display the needed layers. Update the triggers on each layer to display the needed layer.

Can you tell me how to "update" triggers ?

Just change the triggers from saying like disp;ay Layer 1 with what ever layer it needs to be now. Double click the trigger and the dialog box will open allowing you to update all of the options.

1. I duplicate "modular" layer Twice

2. I follow the same steps that for baselayer (which was working)

3. I tryed to update...but do not see what to do or where

Please correct me if I'm wrong but after 4 years we still can't loop a timeline... There is no... When timeline reaches frame X go to frame Y, or when timeline ends restart, or loop or anything like that? :S

I hope there is a real solution by now. Please let me know. Thanks.

Hi Gerry,

We do not have a jump to cue point or specific time on the timeline trigger at this time, but this is a feature request that we are tracking and I've added this conversation.

You can jump back to the same slide when the timeline ends and have it set to When Revisiting: Reset to Initial State.

The question above was specific to layers and not slides, so perhaps that solution will help you :)

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I meant looping the timeline on a layer when it reaches the end or a certain frame. If you used Director or Flash in the past, it is like creating a symbol that has it's own timeline,  so its animation loop is independent from the main timeline...
