I have a video playing on the base layer during which at some point the user must click a tip sheet sending them to a layer. Once they exit this layer, I would like the base layer video to begin playing from where they left off rather than starting over again. Is this feasible?
See the attached file. I have a button that enters at 5 seconds and has a fade in animation. The timeline pauses when the animation completes on the button. When the learner clicks the button, the Layer displays. When the learner clicks the close button, 3 things happen:
Hide the button on the base layer
Resume the timeline on the base layer
Hide the layer
The last thing I did is place a "mask" over the video to prevent the learner from clicking the video to play or pause it. The mask is a rectangle that is slightly larger than the video. I set the transparency to zero. Making the shape "No Fill" does not work as a mask.
Building on what Garth shared, in the layer properties (gear icon bottom right corner) is the option to pause base layer. This will pause the base layer video.

When you hide the layer, the base layer resumes.
