Return to Knowledge Check After Reviewing Content

Jul 31, 2023

I am trying to allow learners to review material in the course if they do not get the answer to a knowledge question correct.

I can branch them back to the content, but I am not sure how to return to the knowledge check so they do not have to navigate through the entire course again. BUT I also do not want anything available where they could skip to the knowledge check while going through the course the first time.

Fairly new to storyline - hoping there is an easy solution I just haven't learned yet. Thanks in advance.

Would the "review material" be just one slide? If so, it'd be easy to add a trigger to the Incorrect layer that lightboxes that slide. They could open the lightbox, review the content, close the lightbox, and be able to continue from the knowledge check.

  • By default, the lightbox doesn't include the main navigation buttons. You can add them, but then you might want to add triggers to restrict how far back or forward they could go, and that'd get a lot trickier.
