I have made a shape by rotating several shapes, and I would like text in the shapes, but as I rotate the shapes the text goes with it. Is there a way to add text into these shapes so that it does not move? I.e. if i rotate the shape 90° I still want the text to be horizontal.
Would you be able to clarify that the text box is part of the shape and is going to be included in the rotation? You might want to add a separate text box that overlays the shapes, after you rotated the shapes to be safe, and then group the items together. That way, it would at least keep them all connected. And please feel free to share your file if you would like the community to chime in with their design suggestions!
Hi, Furkan -- Thanks for the images you've provided, and it sounds like the suggestion I shared above for Nick is not working properly for you. Would you like to provide your file so that we are able to take a closer look to make some suggestions? Please just use the ADD ATTACHMENT button in the bottom left of the reply box, and you can browse for your file from there. :)
I appreciate your reply, Furkan, and perhaps you could give Phil's suggestion a shot and let us know if that will do the trick for you. And if posting proprietary content is a concern, you would be welcome to create a pared-down or basic sample file if issues persist and you would like to share that instead -- just a thought!
I'm trying to put a picture in a shape, but I want to rotate the picture within the shape--or rather, not rotate the picture while rotating the shape. Specifically I want pictures inside of hexagons with the points pointing up an down, but the default is for them to point left and right. I can rotate the pictures in Photoshop before inserting them into the shape, but this is a template for hundreds of instructional designers to use, and I don't think I can ask them all to turn their images sideways first.

There is no way to fix this problem. I create this button in illustrator and import as image in articulate. This is only way solve my problem.
I am not able to share my file, realy sorry Christie Pollick
You could add the text in a textbox in the state instead and then match the rotation

Hi Nick,
You can add the textbox and write text on the shape in articulate and it will appear horizontal as you want and it will also not move with the shapes.
