Saving a copy of a completed course
Jan 06, 2015
G'day!
I'm trying to find a way for my eLearning courses that run on iPad's to either automatically backup onto the device or somewhere online once the course is completed. (Dropbox, or the like, maybe?)
The reasoning behind this is so I can have a failsafe method of being able to retrieve the score that the user achieved, in the event of the course being deleted from the iPad.
I've so far been unsuccessful in my search to find a solution, and I'm wondering whether any of the Heroes here have any ideas that could help me out... :)
Alex.

Hi Alex,
Typically this would be handled by the LMS to track the score. You can read more information here about publishing for mobile deployment and how that'll interact with an LMS.
Hi Ashley,
Thanks for you reply. Unfortunately we don't have an LMS system. Do you know if it would be possible for courses taken through the Articulate Mobile Player to talk to Articulate Online?
Thanks.
Hi Alexander,
You can use the mobile player with Articulate Online as detailed in this comparison chart.
Thanks Ashley. That's great. I've got an account set up, and my content publishes successfully, however my courses use variables to calculate the scoring. Do you know if there's a way to display the variable results through Articulate Online?
Thanks.
You could add it to articulate online by signing the score to a numeric entry question and using a results slide to pass that score to AO. You cannot pass a score from a variable directly into AO.
Hi Phil. That's a very good idea. Do you know if there's an outline anywhere that'll show me how to do that?
Thanks.
