Saving issues

I know a lot of you have had this problem when saving, because I see a lot of discussion out on the web.  But has anyone found a way to prevent this from happening?  When you try to save you get some error messages like these:

Can not access a closed stream, or

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

This is frustrating because you have to close Articulate without saving, thus loosing all of the changes made prior to the last save.  I have attached screen shots of the error messages.

What can be done for this?
