Scaling Issue at 2560 x 1440

Nov 09, 2018

Hello...Question...

A course we created in SL3 is having scaling issues on high DPI machines.  At 2560 x 1440 some users are not able to see the entire course footprint without scrolling  considerably.    (All works fine at 1920 x 1080).

We've tried everything we can think of in publishing and player settings ('display at current size', 'display at optimal', 'scale', 'lock'), tried a different hosting platform, etc.  This only seems to be happening in IE11 (Chrome, Firefox are ok).

We can reproduce on some machines, but not others.  We've updated graphics drivers, changed Windows settings ('override high DPI scaling behavior'), etc. Nothing seems to remedy the issue.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  We have some frustrated users.

Thanks in advance!
Steve

Hi Steve!

The setting "scale player to fill browser window" should prevent any scrolling, in theory. However, it sounds like some users on a high DPI machine still have to scroll, even when you've published with the "scale player" setting.

Is the course hosted on a web server or a learning management system?

Are you able to share your file with our team so we can test it on our side?

Thanks Alyssa. "Scale player to fill browser window" isn't preventing the scrolling issue on some of the high DPI machines.  The course has been tested while hosted on a web server and an LMS.  Same result.  Yes...I'll share the story file and submit a support case with your team for testing.  Thanks for the help.
