Screen changes position on a screen recording in SL2

Jun 01, 2017

Has anyone ever had this happen.

I have a screen cast recording that I have made zoom in and callouts all set up just the way they need to be. I had to put the project on hold for a month waiting on a SME review. I come back into the Story file to make more edits, and have found that some - not all of the individual slides have changed position. The recording was originally real tight to the top of the recorded screen, but now some have significantly shifted down. So on some of the screens the callouts are off the zoom is off. It is so strange. It looks like this now. You can clearly see where the callout and the zoom is off on the slide.

I've worked in SL for years now, but have never seen this before. Has anyone else?

Hi Leslie,

That's a new one - I haven't seen it before (or at least that I can recall)!

You said it's not ever slide - is there anything consistent about the slides where it does happen?

Also what happens if you insert the screen recording again (into a new scene) are those items also shifted?

I also wanted to share a reminder about good habits and best practices for working on your .story project files.
