I'd like to change the default screen recorder text because is not good for me. For example, the "click on" can be written in two ways in hungarian and I need the other one.
I'm happy to help! Would you mind sharing more about the screen recorder that you're using? In Storyline 360, we offer text-to-speech and narration. In Storyline 3, we offer narration.
If you wouldn't mind clarifying which feature you mean, I'll be happy to point you in the right direction!
I understand. Thank you so much for clarifying! The textboxes will use whichever language you've chosen in the Options window. I'll show you where to make this change in Storyline 3 in this screen recording.
Please let me know if you have additional questions!
I attached a picture to clarify the problem. I'd like to use hungarian language. I can choose the hungarian language when insert a screen recording with hungarian language (as seen on the picture).
BUT! In hungarian you can say:
Kattintson, és húzza az egeret. OR
Kattints, és húzd az egeret.
It means the same. The first one what the storyline template created, but I need to use the second one (because the company use this form of it).
The question is: I need to change the text in every text box one-by-one, or I can change the template language ('Click' can be 'Kattints' or 'Kattintson' in hungarian, so almost every step related)?
And of course I tried the Player properties/Text labels, but have no effect on this (not contain the 'Click' word what I need to change).

Hi Lauren!
I'm using the Storyline 3 and try to record with it (record screen button). After the recording, I insert it as step-by-step /try mode steps.
I see the inserted text boxes with a default text (such as click on the button). I'd like to change this default text.
Is there any options?
BR,
Ferenc

I found a similar discussion, but no update on it in the last 8 years:

Hello Vasarhelyi!
Great question! If you're using a different translation, I'd recommend using the Find/Replace tool to replace the text on multiple slides. Here's a video on how to use the Find/Replace tool in Storyline 3.
We don't currently have a way to choose which translation of the language you've picked. I'm happy to share this with my team!
