I have created several courses which contain demo created from screen recordings. When the learner views the published course, if they use the Seekbar to rewatch something or move forward through the demo, the video playback gets out of sync with the slide. This results in any other objects on the slide no longer displaying at the right time with the demo or the demo cutting off because the end of slide is reached before the screencast completes. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks for reaching out here and letting us know you're using the Storyline 2 and the built in player seekbar. We have reported this issue to our team that the videos get out of sync if other elements are added to the slide (such as audio or objects) and you use the seekbar. The current workaround is to set the seekbar to be read only or disable it on that particular slide(s) that are impacted. You can do the latter from the individual slide properties by removing it.
I'll include this thread in the report filed with our team so that I can share any additional information as a part of this thread but I'm unable to offer a timeframe in regards to this issue.
Thanks for the response. We anticipate the learner community will want the option to rewatch sections and the ability to move around, so we don't want to set the seekbar to be read only. We will keep that as an option if it becomes a big problem for our learners.
I wanted to provide an update here, as Storyline 2 Update 8 was just released, and included a number of fixes which you can see in the release notes available here. The item you all may be particularly interested in is how it fixed an issue where a video would no longer be synced with the slide's timeline after using the seekbar to scrub back and forth through the video. You can download the latest update here, and after downloading and installing the latest update you’ll want to republish any existing content to ensure that the updates and fixes are applied.

To clarify, This is with SL2 using the player seekbar (not the video seekbar.)
