I have created a screen recording, and added this as a step by step - try mode to my story.
I want to take a few of the screens and change the focus to point at just the part of the screen the user can click onto.
Normally I acheive this by making the screen mostly grey colour, except for a small rectange that is showing the real image. This makes the user focus on the area of the image that they have to click onto, in order for the movie to continue.
Can you please let me know if this is possible to do in storyline?
The easiest way is to use the frame shape and then insert it over the image. Fill the frame with a color and set it to partially transparent. It wil hang over the slide, but no one will know.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for your reply.
I have tried the frame shape now, and this is almost doing what I need.
Do you know if there is a way to adjus the width of the frame border?
Or where the centre of the frame will be located?
As the object I want in the frame is not always in the middle of the screen recording image.
Thanks again!
You just have to make the frame really big or here's another option: https://player.vimeo.com/video/145578715
Thank you for getting back to me so quickly.
The video solution 2 worked great for what I was trying to create here.
Thank you so much for taking the time to make that for me. It was a big help.
