I created an e-learning in Articulate Storyline and added several screen recordings which I recorded directly out of Storyline. I added a trigger on the videos that says: Play media when timeline starts.
In the preview everything looks fine, but when I publish the e-learning and upload the zip file it into our LMS, everything works fine, beside the screen recording videos- they are not shown.
Do you have an advice for me? Is there something that I have to adjust in the publishing settings?
I figured out that our LMS is not supporting mp4 files, but only swf files. Is there a possibility to change the format of the capturing? I now converted into swf and added again into the projects, but that means that the quality is getting poor.
You can use SWF files as long as you don't need to support HTML5 or the Articulate Mobile player as you'll see here.
You can also export the screen recordings as described here, but there is no way to change the format in which it is captured. I hope that the community can offer a suggestion on a video conversion tool that may help you keep the quality at a better level.
