Wow, I just noticed this. This is going to be a major problem for us. Is there any plan to enable the search box in HTML5? Is this just technically not possible or has it put on the back burner?
We do not share any information as to upcoming features, releases, or timelines, but we do always encourage our users to share their thoughts with our product development team here.
I can understand that. At the same time, it seems like it would be a good practice to strive for consistency across different platforms, as a priority. I can see how some things might just not be possible in HTML5, that are possible in Flash. However, the lack of this feature means that we will either have to restrict platforms utilized by our users (not good to rule out all IOS devices) or use a completely different method to obtain the same result. We were planning on using the search feature to fulfill one of our requirements for continuing professional education courses.
I'll see if there is another way I can build in a search feature.
