Seekbar in Course Published to Video
Apr 02, 2019
The publish-to-video option in Storyline is an awesome feature! But I'm wondering - is it possible to publish to video and NOT have a seekbar in the final mp4? Video files would be so much easier to launch and view when we have to use our courses offline, but if there's a seekbar, learners can just skip ahead to the end instead of viewing the whole video. (Note - I'm NOT talking about videos inserted into individual slides, I'm referring to the whole video of the published class, which doesn't have any embedded videos.)

The video is played using the video player on your machine or in your browser that will have a seeker you cannot suppress that from within the video.
As you view them offline there is going to be no way to do this.
Ah, I figured that'd be the case, but wanted to ask in case there was a way... Some learners will view the whole thing and some will just bypass whatever they can get away with!
Thanks!
I'm still pondering this question - is it possible to embed something in the metadata of an mp4 to prevent the user from skipping ahead on the seekbar or fastforwarding through the video? (Here I mean a video that's being viewed offline, not on a website.)
