Seekbar issues in HTML5

Jun 21, 2012

In the HTML5 output of my storyline project I'm unable to play/pause the seekbar properly; the animations pause but audio carries on, sometimes the seekbar doesn't even progress, the flash version works fine :(

I've tried viewing the output in Chrome 19 and on the iPad in mobile Safari 5.1, both have the same issues; any suggestions? Is there something really simple I'm missing out on?

Hi, Peter -

I've noticed the same issues with the seekbar in HTML5. I've come to the point where I don't include the seekbar in HTML5 targeted publish.

One thing to watch for, be sure that you only include a single audio file OR video file per screen. I think this contributes to the confusion of the player -- at least in Safari on the iPad.

It was user error, Articulate Support got back today! I didn't realise that audio didn't need triggers to play when the slide loads, they just play, so the triggers I'd put on audio files to play when the slide loads were getting in the way and stopping the pause working properly, HOORAY!
