Single quiz with one Results Slide for different groups of users
Sep 04, 2014
Hello
I want to create a single quiz that will cater for three different groups of people.
Group 1 are the majority group and have 10 questions
Group 2 have the same 10 questions as Group 1 but with an additional 4 qustions
Group 3 have the same 10 questions as Group 1 but with an additional 6 questions (different to Group 2).
Is it possible to do this and use only 1 Results slide?
My attempt uses Booleans to determine what happens on the last question of the common questions. Group 1 go straigght to the Results slide, whilst the other two groups branch to their respective set of additional questions and thence to the Results slide. Of course, what happens is that the Results slide bases the results only on the common set of questions and ignores the additional questions for Groups 2 and 3!!
Any ideas for a work around or a feasible solution?
Thanks, folks!
Martin

Hi Martin,
You'll likely need a results slide for those additional quizzes as well, or include them on the one results slide - but the first group of users will be scored lower as they haven't answered them. You could report the results of a few results slides to a master results slide as detailed here:
If you are combining other result slides into a single result, you can specify either of the following:
Tip: When combining multiple result slides into a master result slide, learners will need to visit each of the tracked result slides. Otherwise, the course status will be marked incomplete.
Depending on how you'll show the score to users that may not work for you - and I'd suggest reviewing some of the design and how to discussions in this forum thread about branching users with different quizzes.
Hope that helps!
Thank you, Ashley. I found a number of possible solutions, but none were very satisfactory. The difficulty lay in the fact that each 'quiz' had a different number of questions (13, 16 or 18) and it wasn't too realistic to makeeach permutation the same length. In the end I created three quizzes and allowed the user to choose their quiz from within the LMS!
Thanks again,
Best wishes
