Skill Based Questions In Quizzes

Mar 27, 2015

We have been developing a lot of quizzes that test skill based knowledge. This requires the students to perform certain activities in another software and register their answer in storyline.

The 2 main challenges we have are as follows

The review of the quiz and in these questions in particular gives a presentation of the answer where the fonts and heights etc. are uncontrollable and all over the screen. We cannot give the review results a neat a presentable look and feel.

The second challenge is that if a user input answer may be within a certain range of answers you are limited in the number of answers that the user is allowed to give in order to register a correct tag.

Has anyone any solutions for these issues?

Hi Alan,

In regards to your first question, is this for all quiz questions seen during the review or just a particular question type? Can you confirm that you're working locally as described here? Also you'll want to confirm that you're testing the published output within the intended publish environment.

For your second question, it'll depend on the question type how many possible answers you'll be able to include - but if you could share a bit more information hopefully the community can weigh in.

Hi Ashley, it is for a particular text input question where skills are being tested and the user must go find the answer and input their response. I am working locally. I am publishing to a  CD and testing accordingly.

I have attached 2 images to demonstrate what I am challenged with for both the 1st and 2nd query.
