SL3 update 4: 3.4 - Jumbled texted, frozen screen...HTML5/with flash fall back

Hello,

My organization recently upgraded from SL2 to SL3. At the time we only had version 3.2 approved and we encountered a few bugs.  Some users would get jumbled text (we used Calibri) on screen, and some wouldn't be able to proceed from certain slides.  I did some research and saw that 2 patches were released since we got SL3.  https://articulate.com/support/article/Storyline-3-Version-History . The patches state fixes were applied for scrambled text and unable to proceed on some slides. So we push through our company approval process to get the latest patch.  Now we are running update 4: 3.4 build, we republished all cbts and still some are reporting the same issues.  what can be done? We found that clearing cache and re-launching fixes the errors most of the time.  We have few thousand learners about to hit these courses and even if its just a small percent that encounter this.. our Help team will get hit pretty hard. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

we call URL index_lms_hmtl5.html

most users run win 10, but a small percent still have win 7.

Hi Angel! Thanks for reaching out to us! Can you tell me a little more about what's going on here?

  • Did you overwrite the first LMS content item with an updated content item, or is this a completely new content item?
  • When you test the updated version of the file, does the text render correctly?
  • If the learner opens the content item in an incognito window, does the text render correctly?
