I have a problem with my drag and drop items. We use drop items with a dashed outline and drag items with a normal outline. But since SL360/SL3 the "centered" function doesn´t work anymore. The items are shifted no matter what we do. If the drop item has a normal outline too it works. (But we really want the dashed one ...)
See attached file. If this is a known issue, it would be really nice to know and if it will be fixed soon/some day.
I'm seeing this too, and I'll definitely bring it up with my team. I really appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and I'm sorry if it's slowing you down!
As soon as I get an update, I'll pop back in and share it here. Thanks!
The issue we're seeing in Storyline 360 where drag items aren't centering happens when the drop target has a dashed outline, like this. Does that look similar to what you're seeing in your file?
Thanks, Danielle. We're still looking into this bug, and we'll be sure to keep you posted on any new developments. I'm sorry this has been plaguing you, but I appreciate you bringing it up here!
FYI Alyssa: I am seeing this issue with drag and drop items, even without dashed lines. In one of my projects the drop targets and drop items both have solid outlines. They too are landing slightly shifted off of the target.
It looks like this also occurs on objects that don't have a fill as well. Have you looked at setting the objects to have a fill that either matches the background color or setting it to a level of transparency such as 99% ?
I'm happy to share that we just released another update for Articulate 360, and included a few important fixes that you'll see in the release notes here.
I'm sure you'll be most interested in:
Fixed: Drag-and-drop questions weren't always evaluated correctly, and drag items weren't precisely centered in drop targets.
Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline 360. Details here.

Hi Alyssa,
Do you have any updates on this problem with drag and drop items not centering? I'm having this issue in a few of my courses. I'm using 360.
Thanks!

Hi Alyssa,
Yes, it is happening with objects that have dashed outlines. I've attached screenshots from two projects where I'm seeing it.
Thanks!
