Slide master assistance

Apr 01, 2022

Greetings, I am trying to build a slide master after viewing a tutorial hosted by Dave. I imported two slides from the content library into my storyline line project. I switched to the slide master view and the slides appear. My questions is how can I change the color themes from the import slides to match my color theme and fonts? Also I imported two slides yet the entire template appeared when I only need two. I am deleting the unwanted slides one by one as selecting multiple slides at once to delete does not work. Can I delete multiple unwanted slides at once?

Hello David,

I'm happy to help you with your questions.  You can use design themes to match the color and font for all of your slides.  Here is a short demo of the steps to create a design theme.

You can also reference this support article for details on creating design themes:  Storyline 360: Using Design Themes

If you want to only import two slides from the template, select Shift+click or Ctrl+click to choose the slides.

In order to delete multiple slides at once, go to the story view and select Ctrl+click to choose multiple slides.

Hi David -

I'd first apply my custom theme fonts and theme colors to the inserted Content Library templates. Next, you'll need to manually apply your desired accent colors to the Content Library text and slide objects.

Here's a quick process for applying your branded template to inserted Content Library templates: https://360.articulate.com/review/content/98f209e0-672a-4ad6-99f6-f29937093ce1/review

Since each Content Library's theme colors and use of accent colors is different, you might see some different issues. Let me know how that works for you.

Importing even 1 slide imports all the masters associated with the project. You can select multiple slides to delete. Open Master view and you may have to wait a bit for all the layouts to open and populate the thumbnails.  Then CTRL-click or SHIFT-click to choose multiple layouts. Deleting a master layout will delete all of its subordinates.
