Some questions responses not showing up in LMS reporting
Nov 10, 2016
So I have been using Storyline for years and never had any issues. I have a new client that wants to regularly get reports on seeing how the users answered questions. Not an issue I thought, but on a module that has 10 Progress Check questions, which are recorded and submitted to the results slide, I have 2 random questions that are not pushing the responses to the LMS. One question is a multiple response, and one is a matching. I have other matching and multiple response questions in the module so that is not it.
I have tried exporting as both SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 with no difference. I have tried recreating both of those questions and deleting the old ones to no avail. I tried uploading it to Scorm cloud and noticed that one of the questions, did not look at the other yet, is missing the Learner Response tag. (see sample) Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there Randy, sorry to hear you're having trouble with LMS reporting. Thanks for sharing that detailed information - it sounds like you've already done quite a bit of troubleshooting on your own.
That being said, it would be most helpful if our engineers could poke around in the file a little to troubleshoot. If you do decide to share it with our engineers here, you can let me know the case number here and I'll be sure to follow along with it as well!
I tried to submit a case and was uploading the file. It got to 100% upload and then the site said Articulate is not working. So I don't know if it uploaded or not. Any way you can check or do I need to do it again.

Hi Randy, thanks for providing the case number. I do see your case, as well as the file you attached. You should be hearing from one of our Support Engineers soon. I'll be sure to follow along, also!
Just wanted to pop in and let you know that I'm following along with your case - you're in good hands with Victor. :) Be sure to reach out If you need any further assistance!
Hi Heroes, I have a similar issue with a course built using Articulate Rise, there are 29 questions but the SCORM 2004 question analysis report only shows 26 responses. Wondering if the above was resolved and what was the resolution?
Hi, Suraj.
I took a peek at Randy's case, and it looks like it was related to a specific LMS.
I'd start by uploading the project to SCORM Cloud and testing it in that environment to rule out LMS issues. Check out this step-by-step article!
If it works as expected in SCORM Cloud, I would advise you to reach out to your LMS for more information, as it can be an issue on their end.
If you need help testing, please reach out to our support engineers through a case.
Let me know if this works!
Thanks for the update Maria. I did test it on SCORM cloud too only three question responses are missing both on our CSOD LMS and SCORM Cloud.
Hi, Suraj.
Thank you for letting me know you're having the same issue in SCORM Cloud.
I'd like to connect you with one of our support engineers to look closely into what's happening. I opened a case on your behalf, so you should hear from a support team member soon via e-mail.
