I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I click on record screen and my sound recording options are missing. Another ID in my group is not having this problem and noticed that she has different audio software in her computer than mine. Wondering if it has anything to do with this?
Looking at the screenshot, it looks like you don't have a sound card at all. It's probably a driver issue. Depending on the version of Windows you are using there is a quick way to check. If you have Windows 7 or Vista, click on the pearl or start button and type in the search box: "device manager" and then hit enter. Look for where it says Sound, video, and game controllers. If there is an issue with the driver there will be a yellow exclamation point or a red x for disabled or something similar.
If you can take a screenshot of your device manager and post it here I should be able to tell.
Of course, if you have your own IT dept or such, they might be able to solve this for you much quicker.
Thanks for your swift reply and information. Unfortunately, I have XP and got a 'no results' message when searching for 'device manager.' I am going to forward your email to our IT department and see if they can figure out what is going on.
