Spotlight?

Hi all,
I'm doing a screen cast demonstrating new software to users. It's very basic, so I'm not going the step-by step route. However, I'd like to use some sort of effect, like the spotlight ('annotation' from the tood ol presenter days), but I don't see anything like that by default. Am I missing something? I guess I could use a rectangle to highlight, but I really think the spotlight is the best effect for this.
Oh, I'd also like the mouse to have the 'click' animation if possible, but don't see how to do that other than within the step-by-step.
Thanks!

Here's one way to duplicate the spotlight effect:
Hey - that works! Thanks Steve.
Any thoughts about showing the mouse click? The spotlight thing was a higher priority for me, but think it would be helpful if the mouse clicks showed.
when you reinsert your video you should have the option of showing the mouse trail
Hi Phil,
The only option I see is to show the mouse cursor, not the mouse trail.
