I just tried this with a YouTube vid and it works as expected. See here. So, the issue may be with the video streaming service you use.
May be browser related in HTML5 sounds like the media is not getting unloaded.
Good point Phil! If I run the HTML5 version of my test in Chrome, the same issue that Matthias reported occurs.
