I'm creating my first Storyline project. It has two quizzes each drawing from two quiz banks. The user navigates to one of the two quizzes and is timed. Quiz 1 has two minutes and Quiz 2 one minute to complete. Both have their own results page. The timer won't stop for Quiz 1 or, give the user two minutes to complete, only one minute. That is until Quiz 2 is complete then the timer stops, and if navigated back to the Quiz 1 results page shows that the user had two minutes to complete? I've tried in separate scenes and creating many times from scratch? Please help!
It looks like you've set it up so that Quiz 2 appears first - and therefore the user is only having 1 min for that one.
In Storyline 1 there were a few fixes that dealt with the quiz timer and you'll want to ensure you're on the latest update - update 8 which you can download here.
If you're still seeing the behavior after confirming you're using update 8, can you tell us a bit more about how you're publishing and where you're testing the published output?
Yes using Version 1 update 8. Testing and publishing locally on a windows 7 OS, in both .exe and HTML versions. I guess my question is can you have two separate and separately 'timed' quizzes in the one Storyline project? Many thanks, Glenn
..sorry, one other thing. The timer keeps ticking whether Quiz 1 or 2 is first in the 'story view' slide order, or if they are in separate 'scenes' . Cheers, Glenn
Thanks for confirming and letting me know a bit more about your set up. I did a bit more digging into older posts and reports filed with our QA team, and it does seem that there is an issue in Storyline 1 with having multiple timers in a course, between two or more question banks. The current fix is to remove the question bank element - so that the quizzes exist on their own ( you could put them in separate scenes to break them apart, but you won't be able to use the question draw).
Sorry for my initial confusion and thanks for your patience.
It looks like the issue persists in Storyline 2, although a bit different in terms of it'll default to using whatever the last results slide timer is set to. Our team is continuing to investigate this issue - so once there is any additional information to share we'll be sure to post here.
I'm facing the same issue, I have 13 difference quizzes in a course and once the timer starts on the first quiz it doesn't stops even after completing the first quiz!

Thanks Ashley, Is the issue fixed with Storyline 2 ?

Kindly provide a fix or is there any workaround?
