Storyline 2: Corrupted File

Hi, Support. I hope you can help us!
We've been trying out the free trial of Storyline 2, to decide whether or not to make the jump and upgrade our workstations.
Things had been working normally for a couple of days, but today we hit a snag; the file seems to have become corrupt. This wasn't from a crash - the file was saved normally. When we tried to re-open it, it returned an error message (see attached) suggesting that it may have been made for an earlier version of Storyline. We tried opening it in Storyline 1 and it said it seems to be a file for a later version of Storyline (which it is).
Is there anything you can suggest to recover the file? We were hoping that the Auto-recovery feature might have saved us but there's no luck there unfortunately. It's two full days of work with no backups, so any kind of help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Laurie, and welcome to Heroes!
The project will not be able to open in Storyline 1, since it was created in Storyline 2.
Please confirm that you are working locally with the file.
You could tryimporting the file into a new Storyline 2 project.
Also you may want to try the steps here to correct any erratic behavior in Storyline.

As you correctly guessed the issue seems to have been caused by working on a server. Luckily our IT expert managed to fish out a backup. We'll make sure to work locally from now!
