I have bought storyline and installed it on my laptop and on my work computer. I saved copies of my .story to laptop in order to be able to work from other place. I can work and make changes in my story but when I come to publish it sais that it's either a only-read version or I don't have enough rigths to publish it. I'm confused. What should I do in order to be able to publish it?
are you getting the error on your personal laptop or a company pc? If company, it could be that you don't have rights on the network to publish to that specific folder.
It's on laptop. And it's as well work pc. I used to publish before. But it was while I was at work, using work network. Now I'm at home. Can it be because of some internet issues? Error is saying that I don't have a proper scurity permission. Can I fix it somehow? I mean I use the product correctly, why can't I publishe it being at home?
P.S. one more strange thing is happening. WHen I open the project Story asks me if I want to install it with my serial number or purchase the version. It is inspite of the fact that I have installed Storyline 2 on my laptop. This question comes every time I reopen the same project.
make sure the source .story file is on your local hard drive, publish to your local hard drive and then upload to a web server if you need to. Best practice is to work from your local drive not from a network or USB

Thanks Wendy!

I do all those things (had bad expiriense with working from USB). Everything is on the local hard drive. It was copied to a local hard drive.
Hi Olga!
Have you activated the software on this device?
I am also not familiar with the security issue that you are experiencing. Does this happen in a new file?
