Is there a way to control what items are highlighted in the menu in Storyline 3? For example, imagine there are 10 slides about Topic 1. I want to only show "Topic 1" in the menu, but have it highlighted when the learner is on any of the 10 slides. Is there any way to do this?
I am working on application training, and there are many very short slides (as short as half a second). Rather than have them all show up in the Menu, I'd prefer to have a single item for each task, and have it stay highlighted on multiple slides.
Hope this can help. You can remove the slide titles from the menu and just show the main heading you like. Here is an article with a video on how to do it.
Hi Wendy, as far as I know that is not possible with SL3 when using an in-built menu option. You can build a custom menu that does that. I have had to build custom menu's before - it takes a bit of work and I only do it if the built in menu isn't going to work for me. Let me know if you would like to know more about custom menus.
Thanks, JM. This has a lot of great information about customizing the menu. I do know how to remove the titles, but was hoping there was a way to control what is highlighted in the menu. Sounds like there is not (except with a custom-built menu).
If you're looking to highlight menu items or adjust those colors, I have a hunch that the tips shared in this discussion may be what you're looking for. If that doesn't quite hit the mark for your goal, please let me know!

Thanks, Noel. I guess that this was the case, but thought it was worth asking. Maybe I'll suggest it as a feature request.

It would be a good additional feature.
