Storyline and network drives
Dec 07, 2015
I have a question. I created a course in Storyline 2. Published this course via "Web" option. Sent the course to my client who then unzipped the course and placed the course on the company O: drive which is on the company network. The file when uploaded opened very nicely. Now a week later the file will not open. However if you save the file to your harddrive it opens. Any ideas what might be causing the file in the network drive not to open and any resolutions for this?
Have there been issues with the cloud or virtual drives that would not allow a Storyline file to open?

Hi, Lisbeth -- Thanks for reaching out with your question! This information on how to Create, Edit, and Publish Articulate Storyline Courses on Your Local Hard Drive should shed a little more light on issues that may arise if you work outside of your local hard drive. Please let us know if you have any other questions! :)
Lissbeth, I found this article for you, too. It deals with viewing your content in its intended environment, i.e. on a website if publishing for Web. You may encounter various security restrictions and unexpected behavior when trying to view your content locally.
At the bottom of the article, it speaks to publishing for CD for sharing your published output on an internal network.
Hope that's helpful!
