Storyline Crash in Preview

I'm hesitant to start another thread for this issue because I see there have been a number already. Last week Storyline was working fine and previewing OK; this week, it is not and crashes each time I preview - on all the files I have created, so the file itself does not appear to be corrupt.
I have re-installed SL a couple of times, repaired it, imported the previous file into a new one, and it continues to crash on preview. I think I ran the Update 5 this morning and then was unable to preview without crashing.
Not sure what else to do. Starting the file from scratch does not appeal - I'm a beginner and it took me ages to create!

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're experiencing! When you did the update 5 of Storyline, did you first uninstall Storyline to start with a clean install? If not, I would suggest following the troubleshooting steps here in this article to fix unexpected or erratic behavior in Articulate Storyline.
Also, you mentioned it's occurring with all files, have you checked that you're working with all local project files to prevent odd behavior from a network or USB drive?
Thank you! - uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times and ensured files were in c:/ drive. Seems to be working now.
