Storyline freezes after failed attempts to preview entire project.

Dec 12, 2012

Throughtout the day while working on my current project, an error report window appeared a number of times informing me to select debug or close the program. Intermittently, I was able to build my project but when trying preview by slide, scene or project, I was not able to do that. Finally, the program froze and I have been unable to close it. I submitted a description of what I experienced. Is there anything else I can do? I'm working against a tight deadline.

Hi Linda. Welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're having with this. I know you posted this a few hours ago, were you able to close the program? Also, can you tell me what the error message says, or was it just a generic "something went wrong" message?

If you haven't installed it already, you might want to make sure you have Update 1 installed for Storyline. If you do so and the issue continues, please let me know.

Thanks, Linda!

Hi, Christine—

Thank you for responding. I did a forced shutdown of my system and disconnected my computer . . . then re-connected it and everything is working just fine right now. Not certain what the problem was. Error messages started appearing when I created new character states and when I attempted previewing. That does not appear to be a problem at the moment. I’ll keep you apprised of any future developments. I will also install the update. Again, thanks so much.

Linda
