when i design a slide that has multiple layers (each with audio assigned to that layer) that are accessible via buttons or hovers, i get audio from my previous layer crashing with the audio on the new layer
is this a 'state change' issue? how might i address?
Hi Bud, if you click the layer and then the cog/gear visible on the layer pane you can choose to pause the base layer and stop this happening otherwise ensure the layer cannot be selected until the audio is finished
I am having a similar issue, except it is with markers. I have a series of markers, each with a trigger to play an audio clip when the marker is selected. Except if a learner selects one marker and then selects a second marker before the audio of the first has completed, then both audio clips play.
HI Adena - you may need to add a trigger on each marker to stop any audio that might be playing. For example, if you have 2 markers (Marker 1 & Marker 2), then you may need to do something like this:
Marker 1 - add your audio file (Audio 1) to the marker itself. Then add a trigger to this marker to stop Audio 2.
Marker 2 - add your audio file (Audio 2) to the marker itself. Then add a trigger to this marker to stop Audio 1.
This will turn off the other audio if it's still playing when they click the next marker. There may be an easier way but this is what I do.
Hi Jamie -- Thank you for your suggestion. I posted my question on another thread as well and got this reply:
Hi Adena! How did you insert the audio that plays when a learner clicks the marker? Did you insert it on your slide and then add a trigger to make the sound play when learners click the marker?
If so, try this instead: insert the sound within the marker. Here's how: with the marker selected, click the Format tab on the menu and choose Sound. When you insert your audio this way, it should avoid problems with the audio overlapping.
Doing it from within the marker worked perfectly and seemed a bit easier since I have 9 markers on that slide.

Tks Phil!

Any thoughts?
