Storyline no longer opens on PC

I've been using Storyline on my PC for a month, registered under my serial number and everything. The last time I used it was last Thursday, and it worked fine. But today, I tried to open the program and an error message popped up saying "“Articulate Storyline has encountered a problem and needs to close.” The only options it gave me were to “send error report,” or “don’t send error report.”

I tried several things that did not solve the problem:

1.    Restarting my computer

2.    Uninstalling and Reinstalling the program (After I tried this once, it gave me the same error message during installation. It is currently uninstalled again)

3.    Sending the error report to Microsoft.

any suggestions?
