Storyline not displaying properly in Moodle

May 11, 2016

I'm uploading my Storyline files to our Moodle LMS and having real problems with how it's appearing.  I have to have it display in a pop up window (that's no problem) otherwise you only see a bit of it.  But even then it sits very low on the screen and often the next and previous buttons aren't visible.  I don't know if this is a Moodle problem or the way I've published (but I've not really altered the standard Storyline options).

I've tried to get support from our LMS helpdesk but they are much less helpful than the people here!  I've changed all sorts of settings in Moodle with very varying results but can't for the life of me work out what's going on.  The effect is different on different devices (e.g. it seems to work better on my tablet rather than PC monitor).

I imagine a lot of you use Moodle - has anyone else had a similar experience and how did you resolve it?

Thanks Liz - helpful suggestion but that's what I tried and the problem persists.  Basically the Player sits too low on the screen partially obscuring the next/previous buttons.  When I hide the Moodle navigation on the left it drops further completely obscuring those buttons,  I've found I can use the bar on the right to scroll down but it's not obvious and not a solution.

Our LMS support suggests changing the Moodle navigation settings.  I've not had any success with this and can't understand why it should be necessary since I'm not trying to do anything complicated.

Likewise I've not done anything complicated to the Storyline settings except enlarge the text on the player.

Have you or anyone else had a similar problem?

Hey Prince!

Since this is an older discussion, let's start fresh. First, what version of Storyline are you using?

Also, have you done any testing in SCORM Cloud yet?  If so, are you getting the same results? We generally compare the behavior in SCORM Cloud to your LMS experience to try to parse out file issues versus LMS issues.  We are happy to help you with that testing if you'd like to share your file!
