I have Storyline launching properly from wordpress using current versions of LearnDash LMS and GrassBlade, but I cannot figure out how to set up the integration to capture the storyline quiz scores. Can anyone walk me through this?
Also, just a note, Articulate uses version .90 of TinCan (since then, there has been version .95 and now we have version 1.0). We have not heard anything from Articulate as to when they will adopt version 1.0 - which is quite a bit more robust than the old versions.
Hmmm... Well, the integration is considerably less than advertised by Articulate. Storyline explicitly claims that the only way to track student progress in LMS with the Articulate Mobile Player (i.e. reporting the quiz results data) is via Tin Can API and they mention LearnDash in particular. It is disappointing to learn that LearnDash cannot receive these results and the "tracking" is by manually marking the lesson complete in LearnDash. I wouldn't really call that tracking.
Why does Wax LRS show urn:dummy when using Storyline with hard to read statements and reporting?
Known Issue: There is a reporting issue when storing results from Articulate Storyline into Wax LRS. Activity names, descriptions and URIs are not included in the Tin Can Statement so Wax LRS has to assign a "dummy" URI. The reason for this issue is due to Storyline adopting version 0.9 of the Tin Can API where a URI was not required. This causes reports to be unreadable and hard to understand in Wax LRS.
Solution: As soon as Articulate upgrades Storyline with v1.0 this issue will be resolved. Articulate is aware of the issue and has not announced a solution or an estimated time frame for completion/upgrade of Storyline to v1.0 of the Tin Can API. Please contact Articulate Support for more information.
We have a temporary fix for so that Storyline can work with Wax LRS and other LMS tools/plugins like LearnDash and Grassblade! You can use this free Storyline converter: http://converter.saltbox.com so that Storyline xAPI (Tin Can) v0.9 packages will now include activity names (no more urn:dummy links in Wax LRS). A few easy steps...
1 - Publish your xAPI Storyline course to a zip file.
2 - Upload your course package (zip file) to the website above.
3 - Wait for an email with a link to the new course. Download it.
4 - Upload your new course package to Grassblade/LearnDash.
This way, the reports in Wax LRS look much better and your Storyline courses now have names (no more urn:dummy links). Please email support@saltbox.com if you have any issues or questions.
Hello all - has anybody used the converted with any success? I have tried uploading files a number of times but I am not getting any response emails back. It really would a HUGE deal fro me to get data from my LRS that I could actually do something with.
If the converter isn't reliable is there anything I could add to my Storyline files that would get passed to the LRS?
Any help appreciated.
Daniel

As the original person posted, I am trying to find out about tracking storyline quiz data. My client has a WordPress site and they want a course developed in Storyline 2. if I upload a storyline 2 course to LearnDash ProPanel, will it be able to track quiz data that is developed in a storyline course? Or do I have to create quizzes in LearnDash? If LearnDash can track the storyline quiz data, do I need additional plug-ins to make this happen?
Also, are there any issues with the playing of storyline 2 courses when they are housed on LearnDash within WordPress, whether the student plays them on a computer or a mobile device? Do the courses stream well?
This thread is a bit older, so as such I'm not sure that folks are still subscribed or what version of Storyline or LearnDash that they may be using. Have you reached out to the LearnDash team to see if they had specifics on how to upload there or any steps to go through? You may also want to reach out to the users here using the "contact me" button on their profiles to see if they're able to share additional information with you.

Articulate, no news about that?
Any other solution that works?

Any word on when the integration to 1.0 will happen?

HI Daniel,
Did you email the support@saltbox.com that Ali shared? I'd reach out to them if you're having difficulty with it.
Storyline 2 has TinCan 1.0.
I doubt they're retrofitting Storyline 1...
