StoryLine2 Test Issue
Mar 06, 2015
I am having an issue with a Storyline 2 program I have developed. It is a test-out exam for a competency based training course, posted on our LMS. I have 6 question banks in series composed of 66 questions. I used a random draw of 45 questions total. I have set all slides to resume saved state. I allow one attempt to answer and I have turned off feedback by question. I have a slide after all the question draws which allows candidate to review all the questions before submitting for grading. The Submit button links to a result slide. Everything works fine until I exit the course without grading. When I open the course again in the LMS, it always resumes at the last Draw From Bank and the previous answers are not saved. I have tried multiple times to fix this to no avail. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi James!
I would first advise testing the content in SCORM Cloud to help determine if it's an issue with the course or with your LMS.
Thank you, Leslie. I will try that. I had a suspicion it might be our LMS but I have no one and no way to confirm it. This will help.

I did as you suggested, Leslie, and have the same issue when launched from SCORM Cloud. It still seems to be a bookmark issue. I tried reducing the number of draw from banks but it did not change. My next attempt will be to reduce the number of questions.
Are you using scorm 1.2? Check the resume data length in Scormcloud may be going over 4096 characters
Thanks, Phil. I am publishing to SCORM 1.2. I will check that.
That was it, Phil. Thanks so much for the help.
Thanks, Phil. That was the problem. I reduced the question count from 45 to 40 and that was sufficient to allow it to work the way I wished. I really appreciate the assistance.
Thanks for the update James! Glad that Phil was able to assist you here.
Glad you got it working
Thank you for the assistance.
Thank you for your assistance. It also gave me a new tool in SCORM Cloud.
