.svg import in Articulate Storyline?
Sep 25, 2017
We are doing an evaluation at Sephora of Captivate vs Storyline. Really liking Storyline so far. We have done a lot of development in Captivate already. I am reworking one of our Captivate courses in Storyline to assess the pro's and con's.
Running into a few snags. Looks like it is not possible to directly import .svg's? I have brought in html5 animations with .svg content and that works fine, but it does not appear possible to directly import .svg's?
Also it is not clear how Storyline handles custom fonts. We have our own font face, which works fine in the authoring tool. How does Storyline handle this when the course is published? Documentation is not clear. Would the user need to have the same font installed? Thanks for any help on this.

Hi Curtis!
You are certainly welcome to add in that content as a web object, which sounds like what you were referring to first.
You can check out all of our supported image formats in this documentation.
I know we discussed the font over on this thread as well.
Hope this helps :)
But you would need to embed it into an HTML page first right?
Curtis, there are a few different ways to add custom fonts to courses. Matthew Bibby has a great tutorial here, if your font exists on Google Fonts: https://community.articulate.com/articles/how-to-use-google-fonts-with-variable-references
You can also embed your own custom font as we were discussing here. See my last post with sample project file attached: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/password-font-not-embedded-in-scorm-file
That's correct Curtis. I apologize if I misunderstood your original statement as I assumed that's what you were referring to when you mentioned success :)
