I have a course with a lot of older .swf interactions about half of them work. The common theme in the ones not working is that they have to enter text but cannot- though this isn't true 100% of the time. I am publishing as Flash with an HTL5 fallback. I feel like I have tried everything I can think of to make it work.
Have you tried different browsers and reported the same results in each? I would assume some of the browsers may be defaulting to HTML5 and then now allowing your .SWF files to play correctly - that's just a guess without testing it out though.
