.swf video not playing
Jan 28, 2014
Hoping someone can help me out with this since I am not very video-savvy.
I'm working on a project in Storyline that is essentially just a series of embedded .swf videos and a quiz. All of my imported videos are playing except one (attached), and I'm not sure why. All videos are .swf format and came from the same source, so theoretically they should all be the same.
When I import this video, all that appears is a black fade in and that's it for the entire video, and it shows no time length. It's the same whether I preview or publish. I've opened the video with different programs and it plays correctly, so I'm wondering if there's a setting that's strange or if it was originally published differently, or if there's an issue with my Storyline project?
I wasn't the one who originally created these videos and I'm not sure who did, so I'm hoping there's a way to fix it on my end instead of having to go back to square one.
Thanks so much and have a good one!

Also, here's a copy of the test project with a correct video and the "defective" video.
When you say 'I've opened the video with different programs and it plays correctly,...', which programs did you use? I tried your swf file in 3 different programs and every time I see not more than a black rectangle zooming in. So, to me the swf itself seems corrupted or incomplete.
Hi Michael,
Thanks for checking! I'm using Adobe Flash Player 10 and Internet Explorer. Unfortunately I don't have any other programs besides Articulate that can open .swf files.
Sounds like my best bet is probably going to be just going to source. Thanks for the help!!
Sounds like a plan!
