Switch text box to placeholder to pick up masterslide layout formatting

Feb 26, 2024

Hi

I have a project with a long list of slides where I want to update every slide to use new masterslide layouts for rebranding.

When I apply a layout some slides get updated to the correct title slide formatting and body text but others don't.

It looks like slides created using the title and body placeholders get updated but many slides use inserted text boxes with in-slide formatting for title and body text which don't get updated.

Is there an easy way to switch an inserted text box to a placeholder text box so it auto picks up the layout settings and will be correct for any future masterslide layout changes? Any other suggestions?

Thanks

There's no easy switch. You'll have to copy the text from the in-slide text boxes, and paste it into the desired placeholder text box.

You could also assign Styles to the text. Then it would update when the Style is updated.
