I am working on an activity slide where the user must click "yes" or "no" to answer a question.
I have slide layers that give feedback based on whether or not the answer is correct. These feedback layers are included in my tab order, but when previewing the slide, tabbing bypasses these feedback elements.
Hope someone can help figure out whats happening here.
Sorry you're running into that problem, Joakim! We're seeing some trouble with tab order in the most recent update of Storyline 360, and out team is working together to find a solution. As soon as we have a fix in place, we'll let you know!
Thanks for giving us a head's up, and I apologize for the headaches this is causing you.
Happy news, Joakim! We just released another update for Articulate 360. It includes new features and fixes listed here!
We were seeing a problem where the yellow focus indicator would jump back to the first object on the slide when a layer was opened. That issue is now fixed!
You can take advantage of this fix by downloading and installing the latest update of Storyline 360. Let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks for the update - I just installed the update.
Do you know why my buttons are getting double tabs on the attached page? The new layer opens when selecting the button with space bar, but then tabbing does not bring you directly into the content.
Thanks for sharing a few slides, and I wanted to confirm what you're seeing.
What I noticed is that I tab to one of your four buttons, and press space to activate the button. I see the new information on the right-hand side of your layer. I then press tab again and it's selected the button again, and a second tab selects the layer text?
Since you've opened the layer there isn't anything selected at the start, and it'll go back to the button first as that's the tab order of where it left off instead of going through to the beginning of the list of objects (the issue Alyssa mentioned was fixed).
Currently, a user who navigates only with the keyboard will tab to a button, press space bar, which opens the new layer. I would like the tab after this to bring the user (tab focus) into the content on the new layer, rather than remaining on the button for an extra tab.
I don't know if it is because of the "fix" or not, but currently a user has to tab more than they should.
Thanks for sharing a new file- that helped me see and understand the issue you're running into. I took a look, and as you mentioned, they are set up in the same way. The one thing I noticed is that the first slide and the layers, each of those text boxes encompasses two objects (the text box itself and the colored rectangle). That's not impacting your tab order, but something to note regarding how each layer was set up differently.
I'm also going to share this with a few other team members to see if they can spot the difference that would be causing this. We'll be in touch with our findings!

Hi Joakim,
I can let our team know how you'd expect it to behave, and will let you know of any changes here!
Hi Ashley,
I think you misunderstand - something is not acting the way it is supposed to on that slide.
Please see attached example. The second page works as intended, but the first does not even though I see no difference in tab order.
