Tabbing through focus points not working in IE11
Sep 09, 2015
I am using Storyline 2 for a course that needs to be 508 compliant. I have modified the tab order to cycle through the objects on the screen in the correct order for a screen reader and added appropriate Alt Text. When I run the course in Chrome, I can press the tab key to cycle through the objects on the screen. However, when I run the course in IE11, I get a message that says scripts and ActiveX blocked and a button that says allow blocked content. Even after allowing the blocked content, I can't tab through the objects on the screen. Any suggestions on why this is happening and how I can correct it would be much appreciated.

Hi, Michael -- Sorry to hear you are running into this issue! Could you please try and run through the steps outlined here to Adjust Internet Explorer ActiveX Settings, and try again to see if you find improvement?
Christie -
Thanks for replying to my message. I followed the steps you provided, but
it did not solve the problem. In addition, I'm now getting message that my
security settings put my computer at risk.
In addition, I ran Windows validation, and it said it couldn't validate
Windows 7 - though when I ran the MS diagnostic it shows my validation
status as "genuine". So I'm not sure where to go from here. Reinstall IE
11? Contact MS support?
Thanks again for your help.
Hi, Michael -- Yes, it sounds like it might be a good idea to go ahead and reach out to MS Support, and please feel free to pop back in to share an update here in the thread. That would be greatly appreciated, should anyone else run into a similar issue. Thanks. :)
