Tap/click to show navigation

Jun 18, 2012

Hello everyone,

I'd like to introduce myself by submitting my first simple story.

This is a simple "tap or click" navigation template using layers and a single variable.

This saves some precious screen real estate for your slides. The hotspot appears for 5 seconds, then automatically disappears.

There's a help button (that you need to link to your appropriate help slide). There's also a change narrator button (disabled by default) just in case you have 2 different voices in your courses (again you need to modify the trigger manually).

Let me know what you think ! Any ideas to improve this would be greatly appreciated.

Last but not least, congratulations on what looks as a ground-breaking product!

To those who need "simulated" swipe functionality, I am uploading a variation of the above story, that includes one.

Just swipe in (virtually) anywhere but the "navi reserved" hotspot area to get to the previous/next slide. This works surprisingly well in HTML5 as well.

This functionality is recommended mostly for slides that follow a non-interactive path (although I'm sure it can be included in cases of interactive content - albeit with a little bit of tweaking). But hopefully this is a good way to start playing with something like this...

Other than that, not much else has changed from the other template.

Looking forward to your comments and suggestions!

Enjoy!
