Tempshare Problems

Has anyone else been having problems uploading to Tempshare in the past couple weeks? Both yesterday and today, I have tried to upload multiple files from Storyline 2 into Tempshare for testing and it stops at either 4% or 8%. These files are no more than 6 MB.

Hi Maggie,

Sorry for the trouble you've run into! Can you let me know what version of Storyline you're publishing with? If you're using Storyline 3 or Storyline 360, you'll need to include the Flash output as a part of your publish process.

If you strictly need HTML5-Only courses from Storyline 3/360 follow these steps before uploading:

  • duplicate the story_html5.html file and,
  • rename it to story_flash.html.
  • Then, zip the folder using the button on the publish successful window and upload it.  

Tempshare looks for that flash file, so this just tricks Tempshare into thinking it's there. You'll also want to check that you're using the Zip option on the Publish window vs. zipping it yourself:

Afternoon

I have tried two browsers and my upload of the course stops at 7%.  I had the same issue mid December.  I came back a few days later and it allowed me to fully upload.  I have amends to make to the course and have carried these out.  Published the course again.  Uploaded.  It will only load again to 7%  any assistance would be create.  thank you

  • What version/update of Storyline are you using?
  • Did you publish for Flash and HTML5? 
  • What browser are you using? 
  • How big is your zip file? The maximum size is 500MB

Thank you for sharing that information! In regards to the version of Storyline, that can be located within Storyline 2 by clicking on the Help tab, then clicking on About Articulate Storyline: 

Would you be able to share your .story file for further troubleshooting? You can share files in this thread, or you’re always welcome to share it privately here. We'll let you know our findings and will delete it after having a closer look.

I have tried to upload the file using the link but the blue upload file button, when I place my mouse over it gives me a red circle, white background with a red line - like a no entry sign

Sorry for the trouble with tempshare, and now our Support case form! 

I think you tried to include an image here for us, but it looks like you responded to the E-Learning Heroes notification via email and any attachments won't come through. Your signature does come through, so if you need to update that you can by clicking Edit beneath your response. Here’s a quick Peek video if you need help.

As for the file, what browser were you trying to upload it in? I'd test another browser and some good ones to use are Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge. If you're still having trouble, could you try connecting with our Support Team directly and they can share some other options for how you can get a file to us?
