I work for supplier of software to a large public sector organisation who have many sites, operating various different LMS'.
My current goal is to create a suite of eLearning modules to accompany our products.
My question is about testing the modules before they are deployed to the various sites.
I was thinking of testing the modules via scorm cloud but I wondered if anyone who has experience of deploying modules to different LMS systems could offer any better ideas on best practices or anything I should be wary of?

SCORM Cloud is a great option since it's industry standard (and it's free!). We've got a handy tutorial on how to use it here.
