Text varibles length and formatting of text box
Sep 28, 2015
I know this is super simple but I am doing something wrong or expecting the wrong result! I have attached a very simple 3 slide, two variable project.
Slide one, the user inserts their name.
Slide two, the name is displayed in the text bubble. Additionally, the user is allowed to enter text. I want to format this text so it will display as bullet points and the user can insert character returns. Essentially, create a list.
Slide three, the slide displays the users input on slide two, and sees the "experts" remarks side by side. I used the insert reference command in both cases and that works great but the formatting is not what I am expecting.
My problem is I can't get the text box to insert bullets nor can I use character returns. I would appreciate any help you can provide.
Thanks,
Elaine

Hi Elaine,
The variable reference text box doesn't update dynamically so you'll want to set it to match the overall size you need. Also I don't believe bullets and character returns are included in the variable text.
Thanks, Ashley. I knew it was simple. I just added character returns to the text box and it worked perfectly. Thanks!
Elaine
Glad that you were able to figure it out Elaine and thanks for the update
